FC Goa gave the gaurs an early Christmas gift after the 2-1 victory against the Mariners.
Goa put up a show against MBSG in their last home fixture before the year ended with 10 points in the last 4 games.
They also put an end to MBSG’s unbeaten streak extending their own to 7 matches.
As the match went underway FCG took the lead as Brison found the back of the net in the 12th minute.
The referee Crystal John didn’t take any action after Aldred’s challenge on Borja which was visible on the replay and looked harsh.
The visitors tried their best to equalise but FCG maintained their composure.
The 2 sides were divided at halftime after Brison goal.

The mariners found a reason to celebrate as
FC Goa conceded a penalty in the 49th minute after a handball from Sadiku while he attempted to defend but the ball hit his hand.
The fans, clearly unhappy with this decision from Crystal, booed him but Manolo asked the boys to remain calm.
Petratos levelled for the Mariners by scoring the penalty.

MBSG’s last chance was when Manvir sent in a cross but Odie cleared it on time as Goa maintained their bragging rights.
The hosts now up a goal gave it their all to secure the 3 points.
The match saw 7 minutes of added time and, a long wait for the Gaurs to hear the final whistle.
Crystal John continued to make poor decisions and some of them could deeply affect the flow of the game.
He was not allowed to continue officiating the Super Cup given his controversial decision in 2023 in a match where Kerala played Bengaluru FC.
He yet again made a controversial decision as he showed red to a staff member of the MBSG.
With the final whistle, Fcgoa secured 3 points in the last match of 2024.
MBSG dropped 3 points but maintained their 1st position as they head to their next fixture on 26th Dec.
FC GOA is now in 3rd position with the next fixture on 4th Jan 2025.
