What an exhilarating El Clásico and a memorable night for FC Barcelona!

The rivalry between these two giants of world football never fails to deliver dramatic moments, and this match was no exception.

FC Barcelona managed to triumph against arch-rivals yet again after thrashing them 0-4 at home this season in La Liga.

Goals from Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Balde, made this an unforgettable clash for the Blaugrana fans.

On the other hand, Real Madrid, despite fielding superstars like Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., and Jude Bellingham, struggled to match Barcelona’s intensity.

The match started with high intensity and not long into the match Kylian Mbappe found the back of the net firing through from an assist by Vinícius Jr.

Real Madrid conceded a penalty after Barca appealed for a foul on Gavi by Camavinga.

The referee initially called for the game to continue but soon paused to wait for the VAR check.

After personally checking the footage he signalled towards the penalty spot.

The referee took too long to make the penalty call.
Camavinga meanwhile received a yellow for the foul on Gavi.

Lewandowski stepped up to take the penalty.

The Polish International fired the shot which gave Barcelona the lead after being in a state of goal deficit.

Barcelona spelled T-H-R-E-A-T today.

Jules Kounde gave the perfect pass to Raphina over the defenders falling through perfectly and the best finish from a strong header firing it past Courtois.

The match saw 9 minutes of added time in the first half.
Enough time for Barcelona to triple the lead as Balde took the shot striking it past Courtois who was powerless to stop the goal.

Madrid still kept hopes intact aiming for a remontada in the second half.

The second half saw the hopes of Madridistas crashing down as Barcelona put another goal past Courtois in the 48th minute as Casadó played an incisive pass to Raphina who found space ahead of Rudiger and Tchouameni.

Real Madrid have conceded five times in a game against Barcelona for the first time since a 5-1 loss in La Liga in October 2018, which featured a Luis Suarez hat-trick.

Barcelona reduced to 10 men!!!

Bellingham stole the ball from Casado, passing it to Mbappe who made a run and was taken down by a sliding Szcznesny.
The play was initially continued, but VAR overruled it.

Gavi is taken down making way for Inaki Peña who takes on Szczesny’s position.

Madrid seemed to find their momentum after Rodrygo put one past Inaki Peña from a free kick.

This was not enough to tame Barcelona who were the obvious better side in the game.

The referee overlooked crucial moments in the game such as a second yellow to Camavinga and Vinícius Jr. which could have changed the outcome of the game.

Barcelona, playing with 10 men, managed to keep calm and hold their winning points.

The match ended Real Madrid 2-5 Barcelona.

Barcelona have now claimed their second Supercopa title in three years, defeating Real Madrid in both of their recent Clásico showdowns.
