FC Goa soon conceded a penalty in the 38th minute after a challenge by Aakash Sangwang on Diego Mauricio.
Diego steps up to take the penalty and hits it on the right which is saved by Hrithik Tiwari.
An unreal save at the Fatorda gives the host a lot more confidence.
Aakash saw a yellow which meant he will miss the next match against Mumbai City FC.
Not long after this Jahouh saw yellow for a foul on Borja Herrera which meant he also will miss the next match for Odisha.
The first half was a complete domination by Fcgoa.
M.Fall was shown yellow on a challenge on Iker Guarrotxena which means he’ll miss the next fixture.
The build up, the attack and the combination of Borja Herrera and Brison Fernandes was commendable.
Fcgoa quickly pulled the lever in the 47th minute as Brisons shot deflected and caused an own goal doubling up Goa’s lead.
Odisha, however, showed glimpses of a fightback. Rahul KP capitalized on a defensive lapse shortly after, slotting the ball past Hrithik to reduce the deficit.
Goa’s dynamic duo of Iker Guarrotxena and Borja Herrera orchestrated a brilliant move that seemed destined for another goal.
Borja was brought down in the box, but to the disbelief of the home crowd, the referee waved play on, denying what looked like a clear penalty.
Borja Herrera was completely robbed of a penalty after it was overlooked by the referee.
Jahouh was shown his second yellow after a deliberate handball after which he was sent off reducing Odisha to 10 men.
Fcgoa showed great character and were disciplined throughout the game.
Lobera would be back on the line for the next match but Odisha would miss the likes of Jahouh and M. Fall.
Whereas for Goa, Aakash Sangwang would miss the next match against Mumbai City FC.
